Interior Design and Special Features

There are navigation systems and then there are navigation systems you’ll enjoy using. The Santa Fe is available with the latter. A large, high resolution 6.5-inch touch screen is easily legible, even in strong sunlight. And with XM NavTraffic, you’ll be provided with real-time traffic updates for your trip. You can use the touch-screen or voice commands to locate over five million points of interest stored in flash memory for faster access. An address book feature can hold recently visited locations, marked points, and favorites.

Radio and ventilation controls are placed high on the dashboard, the buttons and knobs are generously sized and clearly marked. The gear shifter and steering-wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls are conveniently located so you can operate them by touch alone. Even the cup holders are illuminated in a soft blue glow at night to highlight their location. All of these parts have one goal: to all but eliminate the need to look away from the road to operate the car, making for a more relaxing and less distracted drive.

Safety

The Hyundai Santa Fe features six standard airbags and active front head restraints to give it the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s vaunted “Top Safety Pick.” It also earned five-star crash-test ratings in front- and side-impact tests for three years in a row.

Powertrains and Performance

The Santa Fe is available with your choice of either a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6 engine. Both feature a Variable Intake System and Continuously Variable Valve Timing on the intake camshafts. Translation: more response and efficiency over a broader range of engine speeds.
